It’s a collaborative effort to create a place that reflects the people who live there. A placemaking plan also builds on existing strengths to improve public perception, public spaces, and possibilities.

Placemaking is about constantly working with communities to ensure a place is vibrant and reflects the needs of people who live there. That said, we’re aiming for 2035. This is when real change should be seen, felt, and experienced. Watch this space.

2035 is our line in the sand. Many of the projects are large-scale and will take time. By 2035, all projects will be moving. But it doesn’t stop there. Placemaking is all about constant improvement and working with people to keep a place vibrant and current. And that’s what we’ll continue to do.

There are many ways to get involved. We host public drop-in sessions, community workshops and digital surveys so you can have your say on every development in town.

We’re always updating our social feeds with the latest updates. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook. We’ll keep you in the loop.
